I had recently rode to kolli hils, 80kms from salem, Tamilnadu, I was suprised by the hills. There is waterfallscalled Agayagangai waterfalls which is 300feet falls. to reach there you have to walk up to 1200 steps down, that itself is a trekking. If you trek down, you can visit siddar caves.

There are umteen no. of waterfalls, trek routes there.

This is a very good weekend getaway for Bangaloreans as the roads are good( NH) Smile

Kolli Hills can be reached by from Bangalore by going via Hosur and then to Salem (approx. 220 KM from Bangalore). From Salem, take the Rasipuram-Namakkal road via Kalappanayakanpatti and reach Nadukombai from where the ghat road begins.
The ghat road which has about 70 hair pin bends, it takes approx. an hour to reach Semmedu which is one of the highest points in Kolli Hills.

National Highway 45 from Chennai is the road to take till Ulundurpettai, from where you will have to branch off on the road leading to Salem. A further southward diversion at the main town of Attur, will lead to Malliakarai, Namagiripettai and Belukkuruchi, at the foot of the Kolli Hills.
From there go to Kalappanayakanpatti and reach Nadukombai from where the ghat road begins. The ghat road which has about 70 hair pin bends, it takes approx. an hour to reach Semmedu which is one of the highest points in Kolli Hills.
